Concept To Company, the Utah organization looking to spur startups via a series of business plan competitions, said today that it is awarding $45,000 in its upcoming Medical Innovation Contest. The group is looking for people with new ideas for medical devices and technology in its contest, the latest in a series of events the group has run around different industry areas. The deadline for an application is October 7th. The contest is run by Grow Utah Ventures, the nonprofit business group run by Alan Hall; that group is separate from Hall's new for-profit venture, Grow America ventures, which is looking to expand the ideas of Grow Utah Ventures and Concept To Company with more funding and expansion beyond Utah.
