Adaptive Computing In Deal With In-Q-Tel
Provo, Utah-based Adaptive Computing, which develops private cloud management and high performance computing (HPC) software, said today that it is in a strategic partnership and technology development agreement with In-Q-Tel, the investment arm of the U.S. intelligence community. Details on that agreement were not announced, however, those deals typically include a venture investment in the company. Adaptive Computing said the deal calls for it to enable broader applicability of private clouds within the intelligence community. In-Q-Tel makes investments in technology of interest to the CIA and the U.S. government's other intelligence agencies. Adaptive Computing is led by Rob Clyde, and develops Moab, a cloud computing management product used to manage high performance computing workloads. Adaptive Computing's other backers include EPIC Ventures, Intel Capital, and Tudor Ventures.
