Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet said today that it is looking to acquire Japanese electronics components distributor Internix, via one of its subsidiaries. According to Avnet, it has launched a tender offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of publicly traded Internix, a firm based in Fujisawa, which was founded in 1970. Avnet said that Internix has 280 employees and revenues of $260M for the 12 months ended in March 2012.
