DISH Ties With Roku On International Channels
Englewood, Colorado-based DISH Network, the satellite broadcasting operator, said today that it has inked a deal with streaming entertainment firm Roku. According to the two, the two will launch DISHWorld service on Roku's streaming platform, which will allow viewers to access Hindi, Arabic, Urdu, Bangla and Brazilian channels via Roku. The two also said they will use technology developed by Move Networks, the former Utah developer of adaptive bitrate streaming technology, as part of the deal. DISH said that its DISHworld service will be available on plans starting at $19.99 per month.
