GroSocial, the developer of an online service which helps businesses run their own contests, sweepstakes, and other promotions, has raised $1M in a Series A funding round, the firm said today. The round was led by Kickstart Seed Fund, and also included Monarch Ventures, Rock & Hammer Ventures, and other angels. GroSical, which is led by Zach Mangum, had previously announced seed funding from the same group in October of last year' it's unclear if the new round includes that funding or is on top of the previously raised total. GroSocial said it will use the new funding to double its headcount, and enhance its platform.
