Virgin Galactic Signs Ashton Kutcher As 500th Customer

Virgin Galactic, the commercial spaceflight operator setting up shop at Spaceport America in New Mexico, has signed up its 500th customer, the firm announced Monday. Sir Richard Branson, the company's founder, said that actor Ashton Kutcher has just signed up to fly to space on the firm's spacecraft, which will be launching from the newly built Spaceport America project near Los Cruces. Virgin Galactic has yet to launch commercial operations, but has been signing up customers who are lined up to take the company's spacecraft into space.
