Denver-based Photobucket, the online photo and video sharing service, said today that it is supporting the launch of Microsoft's new Windows Store, with an app which will be part of the Windows 8 launch. Photobucket said it was selected by Microsoft to provide an app for the Windows 8 Metro style user interface. The app allows users of windows 8 to browse and search for photos hosted on the Photobucket service, capture and upload photos directly from PCs, and allow users to comment, like, and share those photos. Microsoft rolled out a widespread "Consumer Preview" of Windows 8 last night.
