ZAGG: Record Sales, Traffic on Black Friday, Cyber Monday
Salt Lake City-based Zagg, the manufacturer of protective electronic cases, said today that it saw record daily sales and traffic to its website over the weekend, during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The firm said it saw a 94 percent increase in sales over the company's 2010 Cyber Monday on the site. Actual financial details of the day were not disclosed. ZAGG said the sales and traffic were driven by a contest, where it gave away an Apple iPad every hour to visitors--seeing almost 450 entries per minute, or 640,000 entries--due to the promotion. ZAGG said it is continuing its promotion efforts by giving away iPad 2's for the rest of the season, one every day.
