Salt Lake City-based mediaFORGE, a provider of advertising retargeting technology, said today that it is applying its technology to the email market. mediaFORGE said it has launched a new product, its Email-Initiated Display Retargeting, which allows advertisers to retarget users based on email recipients. Pricing on the new product was not announced. mediaFORGE's retargeting software displays specific ads to users, based on the ads and web sites they have previously visited; retargeting is particularly popular with helping ecommerce sites battle shopping card abandonment or encourage return visits. mediaFORGE is headed by Tony Zito.
