Microchip: 10 Billion PIC Microcontrollers Shipped
Chandler, Arizona-basd Microchip Technology, the manufacturer of microcontrollers, flash, and analog components, is bragging today that it has shipped its 10 billionth microcontroller to customer Samsung Electronics Co. Microchip said it reached the milestone approximately 10 months after it hit the nine billion mark on its microcontroller shipments totals. Microchip's chips are used widely in embedded systems, control products, and other electronics designs.
