Louisville, Colorado-based
Zayo Group, the bandwidth provider headed by Dan Caruso, reported that it had a net loss of $4.1M on revenues of $287.2M for its year ended June 30, 2011. That compares with net earnings of 0.5M on revenues of $199.3M for the same period last year. For the latest quarter, Zayo Group said it had net earnings of $11.0M on revenues of $77.8M, up from $5.6M in earnings on $55.0M revenues a year ago. The firm said revenue growth was up due to its acquisition of AGL Networks and American Fiber Systems, in addition to organic growth. Zayo is privately held, and is highly unusual because it has been releasing its quarterly and annual financials publicly for a number of years, and also has been conducting earning calls.
