Mosaic Biosciences Raises $1.0M
Boulder-based Mosaic Biosciences, a developer of synthetic materials to help promote new tissue regeneration, has raised $1.0M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm this week. The firm's website indicates the round was a Series A, and included Morgenthaler Ventures, HealthCare Ventures, and High Country Venture. The firm's CEo is Marty Stanton, who has previously served at Somalogic, BiOptix, Archemix, Sierra, and Dexela. The firm's founders include researchers from CU Boulder, Dr. Kristi Anseth and Dr. Chris Bowman, both of Cu's Departmnet of Chemical and Biological Engineering. Mosaic said its technology can be applied to wound healing, bone regeneration, cartilage repair, stem cell therapy, and dermal fillers.
