MapQuest Turns On Pedestrian, Bicycle Routing
Denver-based MapQuest reported Thursday that it has turned on routing of pedestrian and bicycle travel on all of its open MapQuest sites. According to the firm, the routing allows users to find cycle and foot paths on any of its open sites, which are powered by OpenStreetMap data. The firm also said it will support transit routing on its New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Boston, Philadelphia and San Francisco area sites. The firm had previously offered the pedestrian and bicycle travel mapping on select sites, but said it opened up the support due to "popular demand".
