Denver-based Secure64 Software, the developer of secure DNS software which is headed by Steve Goodbarn, said Wednesday that it has released a new version of the company's DNS caching software. The firm said the software now supports DNS64, the emerging standard for supporting DNS on IPv6 networks. Secure64 develops its own, customized operating system for its DNS services, in order to provide better security than other DNS implementations. DNS is the protocol used on the Internet to translate web URLs into IP addresses.
