Denver-based Secure64, a provider of a secure, specialized operating system and networking software, said today that it has rolled out a new product called Secure64 DNS Signer. The new software implements the DNSSEC prootcol, used for securing domain name system (DNS) updates. The DNS system is used for looking up Internet addresses. According to Secure64, the new software provides automated DNSSEC Signing which authenticates the origins of DNS data, mitigating security issues inherent in the implementation of DNS. The firm said its new product will be priced at $14,995 and be available in September.
