A manufacturer of solar inverters,
Power-One, said today that it has set up a factory in Phoenix. Power-One, which is based out of California, said it expects to eventually employ as many as 350 people in a new facility to manufacture photovoltaic and wind inverters. The firm said it decided to move to Phoenix because of its strong workforce, access to intellectual resources at Arizona State University, and support from Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, the Arizona Commerce Authority, the City of Phoenix and GPEC.
