Sorenson Media, the video encoding and online video hosting service which has its major engineering operations in Salt Lake, said today that it has seen a third consecutive quarter of 40 percent growth. The firm did not release actual financials, but said the growth was driven by the release of an enterprise-focused versin of its Sorenson 360 online video platform. Sorenson said that it will be expanding its workforce, and particularly, its engineering team, as a result of the growth. Sorenson is headquartered in San Diego, California, but was started and maintains its engineering group in Salt Lake.
