ON Semiconductor, a manufacturer semiconductors, said today that it is in a major expansion at its Pocatello, Idaho manufacturing facility. According to the company, it is investing in $11M in production equipment at its Pocatello facility, which manufactures semiconductor wafers for the firm. The firm said the additional investment will secure jobs at the facility, will lead to some additional hiring, and shows the company's commitment to Idaho. ON Semiconductor said the investment in the facility comes courtesy of government incentives from the Idaho's governor's office, the Idaho Department of Commerce, the City of Pocatello, Bannock County and the Bannock Development Corporation. The firm employs approximately 630 people in the location.
