Boulder-based venture capital firm
Foundry Group has backed an innovative, MIT spinout developing tabletop game consoles, the firm said this week.
Sifteo, which is based in San Francisco, said that Foundry Group joined True Ventures in its $9M, Series B funding round. Sifteo was based on a research project at MIT, which takes cookie-sized computers with motion sensors and other detection and graphical displays to create a tabletop game. The firm's technology was initially displayed at TED 2009.
