Pearson, a developer of online and digital learning software, has inked a deal with a wireless equipment provider, the firms said today. According to Pearson and California-based
Xirrus, a maker of wireless equipment, they have partnered to deliver Pearson's Waterford Early Learning and SuccessMaker digital education programs to elementary and middle schools globally. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Xirrus makes wireless equipment specifically for high density deployment such as schools; Pearson's software provides reading, science, and math instructions for kids kindergarten through eighth grade.
