Denver-based Ping Identity, a developer of single sign on software, said Tuesday that it has added support for OpenID Internet single sign-on for Google Apps. The firm said that the addition of the support will offer software-as-a-service vendors ability to authenticate their software via a customer's Google Apps domain. Ping said the supports comes from an optional, PingFederate add-on. Pricing on the new software was not released. Ping said the tool is currently available to its software-as-a-service partners, with general availability planned for Q2. Ping's tools are used to allow a single username/password to unlock access to any number of enterprise or web applications.
