Denver-based Intermap Technologies, a developer of 3D terrain models for the geospatial mapping industry, announced today that it has signed an agreement with satellite navigation firm Garmin Ltd.. Intermap said it has signed a three year deal to provide accurate 3D elevation data for the United States and Western Europe to Garmin. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Intermap said that Garmin products utilizing its data, from its NEXTmap database, will reach the consumer market in the first half of 2010.
