TheraDoc Adds MRSA Tracking Tool
Salt Lake City-based TheraDoc, a developer of clinical decision support software for the healthcare industry, announced today that it has created a new surveillance tool to track MRSA (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) in hospitals. MRSA is an antibiotic-resistant staph infection which tends to spread in hospitals, and has become a serious threat in hospitals. The firm said the nwe MDRO Compliance Manager, which has started beta, will help hospitals monitor and manage screening programs for MRSA and other multidrug-resistant organisms.
