Ascent Solar Qualifies Packaging
Thornton, Colorado-based thin film photovoltaic module developer Ascent Solar Technologies announced this morning that the firm has qualified a new packaging material for the firm's products. The firm said that the qualification is a "breaththrough" for the firm's technology. Ascent Solar said the packaging for its flexible PV material meets guidelines from the IEC on performance and long term reliability of thing film solar modules. Ascent's flexible thin-film modules are being targeted at building materials, consumer electronics, and other markets.
