ADA Technologies announced today that the firm is the recipient of a $100,000 grant from the Department of Energy, focused on its research into high performance, safe, and long-lasting lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. According to ADA, the grant brings its total to more than $1M in grant money for its advanced energy storage technology research. ADA said its research is focused on nanocomposite technology, to overcome limitations with current rechargeable Li-ion batteries, including issues with energy/power density, flammability, and life cycle.
