Dot Hill Systems is crediting its Longmont, Colorado team for six new patents granted to the firm. Dot Hill said Wednesday that its Longmont engineering team has added six patents to a list which now totals 48 patents, covering the firm's storage technology. The six patents granted to Dot Hill include patents covering RAID controller technology, SATA and Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) disk drives; communicating between RAID enclosures, and more. According to the USPTO, inventors on the various patents included Ian Robert Davies, Paul Andrew Ashmore, Gene Maine, Rex Weldon Vedder, Dwight Oliver Lintz, Victor Key Pecone, George Alexander Kalwitz, and James Boyd Lenehan.
