OneRiot Takes On Real Time Search
Boulder-based OneRiot, a developer of online search tools, is launching a new real-time search engine today. The firm's new service pulls social content from sites such as Twitter and Digg into what the firm says is a real-time, updated search site. The firm said it is also filtering those results for spam, de-duplicating links which are being shared through URL shortening services, and also providing web page publishers with information about how many times a link has been shared on social networking sites. The new real-time features follow the launch of Twitter indexing on the site in early April. OneRiot is venture backed by Appian Ventures, Commonwealth Capital, and Spark Capital.
