Brightkite, a provider of mobile, social networking applications, said today that it has combined with Silicon Valley-based Limbo. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed. According to the two firms, they will combine to form a single service using the Brightkite brand, and have received $9M in funding led by Nexit Ventures. The combined firm will be headquartered in Burlingame, California, and continue to maintain offices in Denver and Helsinki, Finland. Brightkite was incubated in Boulder's TechStars program, and was a member of that program's 2007 summer class.
