AFS Acquires Interactive Management Systems
Phoenix-based AFS Technologies Inc., a publisher of operations software for the food and beverage industry, announced today that it has concluded its acquisition of Interactive Management Systems Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Headquartered in Morgan Hill, Calif., IMS develops enterprise resource planning and warehouse management systems for the meat and seafood industries. According to Kurien Jacob, AFS' chief executive officer, the merger will enhance his company’s presence in the seafood, meat processing and distribution space within the food and beverage channel. This is AFS' third acquisition within the past seven months—the company acquired IRM Corp. of Dallas and Motek of Beverly Hills, Calif., in August.
