Colorado Springs-based Ramtron, which develops memory products, said Thursday that it has tapped IBM for foundry services. According to Ramtron, it will install its semiconductor process technology in IBM's Burlington, Vermont advanced wafer manufacturing facility, which will manufacture its F-RAM semiconductor products. Ramtron said it expects to generate its first production wafers in 2010 on IBM's 0.18 micron wafer manufacturing process. Ramtron said it is working on an $11.0M loan facility from Silicon Valley Bank to fund the capital and development costs of the deal.
