Omniture received a $25M investment, and is in a strategic partnership with advertising firm WPP, WPP and Omniture disclosed this morning. According to WPP and Omniture, the two will collaborate on technology development, on sharing data and information and in consulting services. The investment in publicly held Omniture is in Omniture common stock. WPP is a major communications firm, with advertising and public relations brands such as G2, OgilvyOne, RMG, Wunderman, Enfatico, Schematic, VML and ZAAZ, Group M, 24/7 Real Media, Kantar and Bridge Worldwide. Among elements of the deal: Omniture will be deployed within WPP companies; WPP's marketing technology, data, insights, and information will be added to Omniture Genesis, including 24/7's advertising management systems, search engine marketing systems, and more.
