Sandy, Utah-based Opengear, a manufacturer of remote consoles for data centers, said Wednesday that it has launched a new partner program for resellers. The firm said the move is an attempt by the firm to help its channel partners, and gives them the ability to make 25 percent margins on its products. According to Opengear, the new program is targeted at VARs, system integrators, and technology providers, and also includes a partner portal, a demonstration network for customer product demonstrations, pre-sales technical support, and marketing and technical support. Opengear's products are used to connect to management consoles for network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and other data center hardware.
