At least one company is looking to aggressively hire in this economy: Denver-based Alpine Access, a provider of outsourced contact center services, announced Wednesday that it is in the process of hiring customer service representatives throughout the state of Illinois. According to Alpine Access, it plans to hire more than 100 home-based customer care professionals in the Chicago, Peoria, Springfield and Belleville metropolitan areas. Alpine Access said the workforce additions are the result of an increased demand from new and existing clients. The firm says it now employs some 7,500 home-based agents throughout the United States. The firm's employees work from home, providing customer service to its clients.
