Level 3 Communications, a provider of fiber optics-based telecommunications services, revealed Monday that it has won the business of the Texas Education Telecommunications Network. The financial impact of Level 3's customer win was not disclosed. According to Level 3, it will provide the network with high-speed Internet and colocation services. The TETN provides communication between various educational entities throughout the Lone Star State, including primary and secondary schools. Carol Willis, TETN's general manager, cited Level 3's expertise and reputation within the education community as a reason for selecting the firm. Level 3 Communications is headquartered in Broomfield, Colo.
