Spectra Logic In Deal With SGI
Boulder, Colorado-based data backup and archiving hardware manufacturer Spectra Logic Corp. revealed Wednesday that it will be the tape library vendor for Silicon Graphics Inc. Spectra Logic said Silicon Graphics will resell its entire T-series tape library line, which ranges from the T50e for small- to medium-sized businesses to the T950 for enterprises. Spectra Logic added that all of its libraries offer remote management, real-time power monitoring and data integrity checking. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Based in Sunnyvale, Calif., Silicon Graphics distributes high-performance server and storage equipment.
