Spectra Logic Wins Federal Bureau
Boulder-based Spectra Logic, the manufacturer of tape library and other storage products, said today that it has scored a big win with the U.S. Bureau Federal Bureau of Prisons. Spectra Logic said the agency deployed 112 of its tape libraries to back up and encrypt around one petabyte of data. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Spectra Logic said the bureau has deployed one T950, one Spectra T200, and 110 Spectra T50e tape libraries in the deployment.
