Atrato Inc., a provider of on-demand data storage services, reported Wednesday that it has promoted Steve Visconti to president and chief executive officer. The Westminster, Colo.-based business said Visconti succeeds Dan McCormick, who has relinquished his day-to-day responsibilities in order to chair Atrato's board. Visconti had previously served as Atrato's executive vice president of sales and marketing, the company noted, adding that he possesses more than a quarter century of business development, sales, marketing and management experience. Prior to joining Atrato in 2007, Visconti held leadership positions with several technology-oriented firms, including Cisco System, Airespace, Ascend, Chipcom and Banyan Systems.
