Level 3 to Deliver Debates for MySpace
Level 3 Communications revealed Friday that it will provide video acquisition, transport, encoding and streaming services in support of all four 2008 Presidential Debates for the parent company of social networking Web site MySpace.com. The financial impact of Level 3's customer win was not disclosed. The Broomfield, Colo.-based company said Fox Interactive Media Inc. will feature live video of the debates at MySpace's MyDebates.org. Level 3 said its video broadcast services will be used for video signal acquisition, backhaul and distribution of debate content to redundant broadcast encoding centers, as well as Fox Television affiliates.
