Level 3 Communications, a provider of fiber-based data and Internet services, revealed Wednesday that it has enlarged its footprint in the Canadian market with the launch of high-speed Internet Protocol services in the Toronto and Montreal areas. The Broomfield, Colo.-based firm also said it has expanded its transport services offerings into Montreal. Level 3 explained that the growth comes as a response to increased customer demand and should enable Canadian-based carriers and bandwidth providers to cost-effectively access its network. Level 3 Communications' North American services portfolio includes various metro and long-haul offerings, such as transport, data, Internet, content delivery and voice.
