Provo, Utah-based Cluster Resources, a developer of software used to manage clustering software, said Wednesday that it will support Cray's new CX1 personal supercomputer. According to Cluster Resources, it will provide its Moab Hybrid Cluster software on the new supercomputer, which was introduced by Cray today. Cluster Resources said its Moab Hybrid Cluster software allows the Cray CX1 system to run both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems concurrently, and also allow users to manage and optimize their workloads. Cluster Resources said its software are currently installed on Cray supercomputers, including systems at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Cluster Resources' software is used for scheduling and load management of computing jobs on supercomputing clusters.
