Scottsdale, Ariz.-based supply chain applications developer JDA Software Group Inc. announced Monday that it has agreed to acquire competitor i2 Technologies Inc. of Dallas for some $346 million in cash. JDA said the merger will result in one of the world's largest publishers of supply chain planning and optimization software. JDA noted that, on a pro-forma trailing 12-month basis, the combined company would have annual revenues of $635 million, including some $300 million in annual maintenance and recurring subscription fees. Both i2 and JDA Software develop products for the enterprise supply chain management software market.
