Two regional health care systems have licensed electronic surveillance and decision support systems from clinical informatics firm TheraDoc Inc., the Salt Lake City, Utah-based company revealed Wednesday. The financial impact of the new business was not disclosed. TheraDoc said the BayCare Health System, which manages nine hospitals in the Tampa, Fla., area, and PeaceHealth, which operates six hospitals in the Pacific Northwest, will utilize TheraDoc's Knowledge Modules suite and Expert System Platform. TheraDoc explained that its ESP service provides hospitals with real-time surveillance, management, prevention and reporting of patient safety problems. TheraDoc suite of software is made up of four software applications: Infection Control Assistant, Antibiotic Assistant, ADE Assistant and Clinical Alerts Assistant.
