Salt Lake City, Utah-based Theradoc, a provider of clinical decision support software for the healthcare industry, said today that it has added a product that supports multi-entity hospital systems. The product, which is an upgraded version of its existing TheraDoc Expert System Platform, is specifically targeted at supporting multiple hospital, Integrated Delivery Networks. The new features include better data security capabilities to limit access to patient data between hospitals in a single IDN. The firm said the new software is in beta testing at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and should be available for purchase in September. The software is targeted at the healthcare providers who manage separate hospitals and medical centers as part of their networks. TheraDoc's products are used to track healthcare safety and aid in clinical decision making.
