Lousville, Colorado-based Zayo Group said Tuesday that it has closed its acquisition of Northwest Telephone, Inc. (NTI), a CLEC that serves Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Zayo said that NTI will become part of its Zayo Bandwidth unit, which provides fiber bandwidth to carriers, web companies, educational institutions and the government, as well as companies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. NTI was founded in 1999. NTI's network covers Washington; Portland, Ore.; and Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; Zayo said that NTI operates nine LEC central offices in the region.
