Zayo Group, the fiber and bandwidth provider headed by Dan Caruso, has acquired another company today, this time in Washington, D.C. Zayo said it has acquired
FiberGate, which provides dark fiber services around the nation's capital. Zayo said the acquisition adds 130,000 fiber miles to its metropolitan network. Financial details of the cash deal were not announced by Zayo. FiberGate's network includes 315 buildings, spread across Baltimore, suburban Maryland, and Washington, D.C.
