Data storage device manufacturer Spectra Logic Corp. revealed Wednesday that server and storage retailer SGI will resell two of Spectra’s tape-based backup product lines. Specifically, Spectra said SGI will offer the T-Series and TransScale T-Series libraries to its international roster of enterprise clients, such as Crawford Communications, LaserPacific Media Corp. and NASA. Spectra noted that broadcast customers like Crawford and LaserPacific will be able to take advantage of Spectra's new Media & Entertainment Storage Calculator, which computes the required number of video hours a client will need for backup. SGI is based in Sunnyvale, Calif. Founded in 1979, Spectra Logic is headquartered in Boulder, Colo.
