Spectra Logic Gets Win At Argonne Labs
Boulder, Colorado-based Spectra Logic reported Monday that it has been selected by Argonne National Laboratory to provide its tape library products for a five year project. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Spectra Logic said Argonne, which is a Department of Energy National Laboratory, will install multiple units of its T950 products as part of a new Chicago-based computing facility. Spectra Logic's T950 is a LTO-4 tape drive library with capacity of 10,050 tapes, representing 16.08 petabytes of storage; the product is used by companies for backup and archiving of data.
