Denver-based BabyUniverse, an online retailer of products for infants, children and their parents, announced Tuesday that it has officially changed its name to The Parent Company. Michael J. Wagner, The Parent Company’s president and chief executive officer, explained that the new name more accurately reflects the company's corporate mission and reinforces its commitment to families. As part of its name change, which is effective immediately, The Parent Company will launch a new corporate Web site of the same name later this week.
