Bode Miller, the Olympic skiier, said last week that he has launched a new, web 2.0 social networking web site called SkiSpace.com. The new online web site will focus on ski and snow sports, and is sponsored by WCSN (World Championship Sports Network), HEAD USA, Kjus Clothing, Sony Classic Pictures, Motorola, Ciroc Vodka, Go Fast Energy Drink and ViSalus Sciences. According to SkiSpace, which is based out of Beaver Creek, it will provide weather updates, vacation planning, equipment sales and ski reports, along with allowing users to add user-generated content such as mobile blogging, photo uploads, skiing action videos and ski lifestyle videos. The site is being powered by PathConnect.com, a provider of online social networking software.
