Omniture Gets Early Clearance For Visual Sciences Purchase
Orem, Utah-based Omniture said Wednesday afternoon that it has received early termination of the firm's waiting period for its acquisition of San Diego-based Visual Sciences. The deal is worth approximately $372M. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission granted the early termination to the waiting period, which is part of the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. Omniture said it expects the deal to now close in the first quarter of 2008, subject to approval of the stockholders of both companies and other closing conditions.
